Speech Reflection

Today my challenge was doing my speech because I had to make my speech not a story so I thought to change to another topic called why Tonga is the best pacific island this was way easier because my dads Tongan so I can gather some information from him. My highlight was doing maths follow up  because there was this fun geometry game that you had to find triangles that were hidden if you found all ten of them you would go to the next level               

Immersion Reflection

My highlight today was doing immersion because we got to think of awesome ideas and were organising a youtube channel and website. In my group was Owen and Danny and there was this peace of paper that we wrote all our ideas on and we had to rate them from 0 to 10 and see if it would work or not. My challenge was doing symmetry with Amy because when we thought there were four lines of symmetry on a rectangle there were 2 lines of symmetry and there was this follow up that we had to do it was a quiz and we had to guess how much symmetry was on each shape.        

Reflection

My highlight today was learning about debating with Rosie. We had to make a poster about can kids buy fireworks and can they light them there were two teams that agreed and two teams that didn't my team agreed. My team was Grace, Rylee and Cohen. My challenge was making the poster this was difficult because there was nothing about why kids could buy and light fireworks for example it only said why kids couldn't buy fireworks.    

Reflection

My highlight today was creating a game because it awesome how you could buy stuff and then use it to build something my team built a obstacle corse. My challenge was building a bridge because it was challenging to put all the sticks on and it has to be certain length.

My highlight was playing ripper because you get all dirty. My challenge was scoring a try because their were teams that were hard.

My highlight is doing loud shirt day because I got to go to the high school to hang up posters. My challenge was thinking of ideas for our poster.  

Hospital

On monday I went to the hospital to have my MRI. An MRI is when you have scan on your body you have to keep really still. I got put to sleep because  I couldn't stay still for an hour. when I woke up I got an ice block. Before I had my MRI I got to watch TV I couldn't eat anything because I couldn't have anything in my body I like going to hospital.      

Basketball

on Thursday I played basketball. I scored two goals we lost 14 to 12 we were in the lead but then they scored a goal with two minutes to go but we all felt proud of our self's in the end.     

Adding large numbers

Yesterday I did my maths. We had to added the tens together and the ones together.

This is sumdog. You can play maths games on it this one is called dress down. You answer maths questions if you get it write a piece of clothing comes and you can put on yourself. There are more maths games you can play and they are all fun! here is a link to sumdog.        

Reflections

This is my reflection that  I do every morning when I arrive at school.  I write about how I feel and why I feel this way.   Then I put it on the wall.  You can read other people's reflections and write your initials in the box to tell them that you 'favourite' it.

Introducing me

Hi my name is Josiah and I go to Hobsonville Point school. My teachers are Amy and Erin. My favourite subject is reading at home. I also like to go on my i-pad. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister.  My Mum works at my school so I get to see her all day. I have just started this school this year.  At morning tea and lunch I play soccer. I used to live in Christchurch but I had to move to Auckland because of the earthquakes. My favourite game to play at home is rugby.  My best friends are Ben, Jack Owen and Maia.
